Many students leave editing and proofreading to the last minute – just a few days before the submission of their dissertations. This not only ignites panic in a student, but it is also detrimental to one’s academic career. While editing and proofreading, students are required to check each and every sentence to ensure that it is crisp and clear. In addition, students should ensure that the fonts used in the dissertation and the format of the tables and charts are consistent and in line with the requirements of the university. All this takes time, and it is advisable to set aside at least two or three weeks for editing and proofreading.
